Crypto.com Crossfire NFT Giveaway Winner Announced – Product Release & Updates

Crypto.com Crossfire NFT Giveaway Winner Announced

Popular crypto card-issuing and financial technology (Fintech) platform Crypto.com recently announced a strategic NFT giveaway.

The proposed giveaway is in a bid to celebrate the Crypto.com mainnet Crossfire dry-run. The non-fungible token (NFT) up for grabs is branded by the crypto fintech platform, and one lucky person from the over 3,000 Crossfire applicants will receive the exclusive NFT. According to the official blog post, the giveaway is also a way to appreciate community members for their unreserved support throughout the preparation for the launch.

Crypto.com, furthermore, confirmed the giveaway announcement via Twitter.

Prior to launching its Crossfire mainnet dry run, the platform’s Croeseid testnet first went live. Interestingly, the name ”Croeseid” was gotten from the first gold and silver bimetallic coin in the world. The Croeseid testnet will also employ Tendermint and its Byzantine-fault tolerant (BFT) consensus engines.

Winner Announced

The giveaway was open to all registered users of Crossfire mainnet whether they participated or not. While open to many, there would only be one winner.

The winner was announced  on January 22, 2021, at 09:00 (UTC) on the Crypto.com Discord channel. The winner chosen by the platform is @Defaulti, and you can view the Crypto.com Crossfire NFT here. The selected winner has to contact Crypto.com within 24 hours following the winning announcement. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the prize. Crypto.com will then have to select a new winner.

Details of the Crossfire Mainnet Dry-Run

Launched on January 18, the Crossfire mainnet dry-run will help stress-test the network before its official mainnet launch.

Apart from the NFT giveaway, $300,000 worth of CRO will be shared among validators as incentives. The Crossfire mainnet dry-run received over 750 applications in the first 12 hours following its call for validators. The Crossfire testnet took place from December 17, 2020, to January 11, 2021.

The fintech and crypto card-issuing platform is also well-known for its strict adherence to crypto regulations. The platform last year obtained an Australian Financial Service License (AFSL) as well as two licenses from the government of Malta. Crypto.com also received an Adaptive (Tier 4) rating by the NIST Cybersecurity and Privacy frameworks.

CRO Price

At the time of publication, Crypto.com (CRO) was trading at $0.074284, with a market cap of $1,691,937,569 and a 24-hour trading volume of $49,164,155.
