Frontier recently announced that Yearn vaults are now available on their Frontier mobile interface.
The Yearn vaults come with the Yearn yield aggregator which will allow users to manage and track their vault positions easily with the Frontier mobile interface.
About Yearn Vaults
Yearn vaults are products of yearn.finance. Yearn.finance represents a decentralized ecosystem of aggregators that make use of lending services to make token lending optimized. Such lending services include Compound, Dydx, and Aave. Tokens are converted to yTokens when they are deposited into yearn.finance. These yTokens will then choose the lending service(s) that are most profitable to the token. The tokens are automatically rebalanced from time to time in order to choose the most profitable service(s) currently available.
Concerning Yearn vaults, it refers to a pool of funds that are strategically designed to reduce the risk and increase the yields of assets that have been deposited. Multiple activities make up the strategies employed in the vaults. These activities include collateral supply, stablecoin supply to money markets, farming other protocol tokens, selling them at higher prices, etc. Through governance protocols, the Yearn community chooses and votes on these strategies.
Connecting Wallets/Addresses With Frontier
It is pertinent to note that the Frontier App is available for both Android and iOS mobile devices. Having a mobile interface for DeFi, users can be able to connect any wallet to Frontier. From Frontier, such users will have the ability to stake, explore DeFi apps, and track their DeFi portfolio.
After connecting the wallet(s) with Frontier and entering your ENS or public Ethereum address, you can then track your yPositions and vaults. yPositions simply means Yearn position, which will be displayed on the Assets page after connecting your wallet/ Ethereum address. When you scroll down the Assets page, you will find the Yearn Finance card. This card contains all your vaults and yToken positions.
You have to click on the Apps option from the menu to be able to access the vault. After that, select Yearn Finance and then choose Vaults. For iOS users, the Yearn vault page will display the multiple vaults offered by Yearn, and you will have to select the vault you want to deposit the asset into. The next step is to choose the wallet, and you then confirm the transaction on the wallet side. Android devices follow a similar path for accessing Yearn vaults.
